Rose Colella, Founder & CEO
The Lola Bard Carolers (a branch of Lola Bard Productions) is owned by Rose Colella, a critically-acclaimed jazz vocalist based in LA, featured in The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, LA Jazz Scene, LA Daily News, All About Jazz, JAZZIZ, NPR's A Blog Supreme & TimeOut NYC, describing her voice as “elegantly tipsy,” “pure seduction,” “cooly coquettish” & “beautiful and inviting." Rose regularly performs at the country’s top jazz clubs including Catalina, Vibrato, Birdland & The Jazz Showcase, and she named the company after her grandmother, a 1930s vocalist who recorded with Bobby Hackett and The Original Dixieland Jazz Band in New York City. Mariama Torruella, COO
Mariama Torruella is a Chicago-based singer, arranger, and songwriter with a very easy name, once you call her Madi (it rhymes with body). An award-winning performer and writer, her voice, songs and arrangements have been heard with Rolling Stones, Patti Austin, My Morning Jacket, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Children’s Chorus, Cantate, Chicago Sinfonietta, Illinois Philharmonic, Tower Brass, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago Symphony, and at venues like United Center, Harmony Sweepstakes, Lollapalooza, Chicago Blackhawks, and PBS Great Performances. A cappella music is Mari’s lifelong love, with her jazz group Stripped and the George Washington University Troubadours & Troub Alums, and she is a Varsity Vocals judge, including ICCA mid-west quarter finals in Sing It On! season one.

Ruth Ginelle Heald, Chicago Caroling Coordinator
Ruth Ginelle Heald is a Chicago-based vocalist and percussionist whose varied performance career ranges from opera and art song to pop and rock music. She regularly sings with Chicago Symphony Chorus, Grant Park Chorus, Florentine Opera Chorus, and Camerata Chicago, and performs art song and chamber music recitals across the United States. Ruth’s adventures as a “singing drummer” have taken her around the world, including tours in Spain, Ireland, England, and China. She enjoys providing drums and vocals for various bands including Local Motive, a soulful staple of the rock scene in Chicagoland. Ruth first donned her bonnet with the Lola Bard Holiday Carolers in 2017 and has been joyfully “fa la la la la-ing” with the troupe ever since.

Rigby Jones, Southern California Caroling Coordinator
Rigby Jones’ caroling history can be traced as far back as the Queen Mary…in Long Beach in 2009 and she has enjoyed the art of caroling ever since. After training at The Boston Conservatory, The Second City, and with The Radio City Rockettes, Rigby loves performances as varied as opera, art song, Broadway (standard and Forbidden), improv, and traditional Welsh music. In 2017, Rigby competed in the National Eisteddfod in Wales which was broadcast on BBC Wales TV and Radio and won 2nd place in the mezzo-soprano category. She got her start in 2012 when Pacific Opera Project was willing to take a chance on a young unknown opera singer. You can catch her performing often with OC Cabaret and the Welsh Choir of Southern California.
